This position is for a Tier III support technician to troubleshoot tickets for our web-based applications. Candidate will be responsible for researching & tracking issues as they arise, reproducing & testing issues before and after they are fixed, working with developers and customers as needed, documenting outages and looking for trends / correlations in the data, keeping work process documentation up to date, producing monthly reports, processing requests for account adds/modifications/terminations, performing account recertification, and more. Description .

The position can be onsite, remote or a combination of both!

• Perform system support, configurations, scheduling and/or tuning/modification of application products.

• Provide basic technical support for system performance concerns. Report abnormal results/issues from production processing.

• Assist in system performance monitoring and capacity.

• Participate in work sessions and walkthroughs for implementations, releases, data conversion projects and/or disaster recovery exercises.

•Complete administrative tasks such as spreadsheets, logs, management tools checklists and maintaining quality/department documents.

Required Education: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree OR• 4 years of job-related work experience OR • 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree

Required Work Experience: • 1 year of technical experience with systems analysis, design, and/or of programming experience OR • Other job-related IT experience or successful completion of BCBS Entry Level Training Program.

Preferred Work Experience: • Trouble shooting and defects for web-based applications/software. Required Skills and Abilities: • Comprehends basic data storage techniques, basic database philosophy, database management, and simple programming techniques. • Basic understanding of the requirements for maintaining production systems and the effect of program changes. • Understands how to use structured techniques in new program development. • Basic understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team. • Pays attention to detail.

Preferred Skills and Abilities: • Great research and analytical skills• Excellent customer service experience• Highly organized

Required Software and Other Tools :• Basic knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and/or development/productivity tools and their usage in the company.

Work Environment: • Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer. • Customer-focused, project-oriented applications support environment.
