- Research and coordinate site selection for events (RFPs). Review and negotiate vendor and hotel contracts.
- Create event specifications to include: rooming lists, food & beverage selections, AV requirements, room sets, and any other logistical items as needed.
- Primary liaison to event exhibitors and sponsors. Create and disseminate service kits and then manage all sponsor logistics leading up to event.
- Manage various vendor relationships to support events including onsite staffing, event mobile apps, AV and production vendors, shipping accounts and giveaway items.
- Track and maintain event budgeting and provide final event billing reconciliation.
- Enhance event experience by building mobile apps via CrowdCompass
- Create and manage virtual events using ON24 and other virtual event software.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 3 years corporate conference planning experience
- Proven experience successfully working within event teams
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple events concurrently at various planning stages
- Strong budgeting skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Takes ownership and demonstrates initiative on assigned events / works well with little guidance
- Experience working with various, high-level stakeholders
- CMP or other industry designation or meetings industry association participation
- Experience planning international events (particularly Central and South America)
