A local manufacturing plant is in need of a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain, assemble, and repair machinery and production equipment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of all machines, equipment, and mechanical systems.
The Maintenance Technician must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions to ensure manufacturing equipment is operating efficiently. The right candidate should have previous experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing production equipment and be detail oriented.
Location: Sumter, SC
Pay: $20 - $25 /hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Monday-Friday

Responsibilities
Responsible for maintenance of the entire plant
Provide maintenance support for the production department
Perform packaging line changeovers
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and other equipment in the facility.
Troubleshoot all manufacturing equipment related issues
Assist in the installation and startup of new machinery and new equipment
Substitutes for other area mechanics to cover vacations, absences, etc.
Maintain a daily record of time and parts involved with assignments
Must work with others, (mechanics, electricians and production workers), to help resolve issues in a timely manner
Assist other maintenance personnel with projects and work orders whenever necessary
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance in the food processing industry
1+ years of experience troubleshooting in the electrical, mechanical, or fluid power fields
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
