TMC Transportation has an immediate opening for a Diesel Technician working out of our Gaston, SC shop.
Shift Available:
Sat/Sun/Mon, 6a6p
Tuesday-Friday, 4:30p3am but will need to train on days
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Performs tractor or trailer preventative maintenance repairs and general troubleshooting work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Repair and maintain company tractors or trailers using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine tools.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and examine parts for defects and excessive wear.
Recondition, repair or replace parts.
Perform routine maintenance checks including inspecting brake system, wheel bearings, electrical system, and air systems.
May weld parts for trailer repair
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must have a valid Drivers License
Trailer technicians should have 1 years of welding experience or a similar skill set
Tractor technicians should have 1 years of diesel experience or a similar skill set
Must have your own set of tools
