Job ResponsibilitiesCoastal Center is a residential facility of the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs. The Center serves residents of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Administers medication treatment and immunizations as prescribed to medically fragile consumers. Monitors health conditions and reports health findings to appropriate staff. Participates on individual's IPP Team. Assists with management of resource allocations to individuals and others, trains staff on proper infection control procedures. Give immunizations and PPD test to staff as directed by nursing supervisor. Participates in quality development activities. Checks and orders medical supplies. Attends meetings and completes mandatory annual in-service training.Minimum and Additional RequirementsGraduation from an accredited school of practical nursing and related experience. Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.Extensive knowledge of practical nursing procedures, sanitation, personal hygiene, basic health and safest practices.
