One of our critical and highly visible initiatives is building and scaling industry-leading lending digital applications and experiences for our customers. We're seeking a Lead Front End Engineer with Angular (3+) expertise to build and enhance dynamic and responsive web applications. This individual will serve as our in-house Angular and single-page application expert and drive critical transformation and development of our customer-facing platforms.
The ideal candidate understands how to balance a desire for perfectionism with the need for pragmatism. You will integrate with and leverage our existing systems as you help build solutions.About youYou'll contribute to the success of the team and our customer facing applications by engineering sound and adaptive web applications at the leading edge of digital lending. Your team will innovate, adapt, and build lasting and scalable solutions from scratch.What we will want you to do:- Break down projects into reasonable MVPs
- Decompose and refactor existing applications to Angular-based solutions
- Be motivated by pairing and teaching other engineers how to develop single page applications
- Produce quality code at a steady clip
- Maintain a consistent cadence of code reviews and team meetings
- Ensure our applications are stable and operating as expected in production
- Contribute to our strategic technology planning
- Collaborate extensively with product and design teams to validate ideas and advocate for simplicity and reusability
- At least 3 years of experience engineering customer-facing applications using Node.JS and Angular 3+
- At least 6 years of experience engineering in an Agile environment
- Experience building foundational components that can be used across products (platform building)
- Deployed Angular/Ionic based solutions to both web and mobile devices
- Experience with automated testing techniques and Test Driven Development
- Thorough understanding of front end build pipelines
- Ability to interface with and influence other technical teams in support of broader goal
- Experience in guiding development of dynamic and responsive web applications
- Ability to navigate in a nimble environment and drive success in unknown territory
- Experience with other technologies we use (AWS, containerization, Java and JavaScript APIs)
- High volume, e-commerce platform experience
- Experience as part of a team building foundational components and tacking complex patterns for re-use across the organization
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field such as Technology, MIS
