This position will be based out of Fort Mill, SC to be collocated with the rest of the PPR US Software Engineering and Product Management.The success of Mobility Edge and the next gen mobility platform requires a Principal Software Engineer to define technology roadmap, work closely with customers as well as partners, and incorporate the latest Android Enterprise features into Honeywell offerings. Successful candidate will lead strategic engagements with Honeywell Mobility Edge partners and represent Productivity Products and Honeywell in industry events related to Android.MOST MEANINGFUL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Define the technology and product roadmaps along with product management teams
Detail out and prioritize features for Scrum teams to implement. Review deliverables and guide teams on OS and applications
Secure software architecture, design and development
Evangelize new features with customers, Sales and Tech Support
Work with MDM partners on integrations
Guide customers and Field Support teams on complex technical problems related to Android Enterprise
YOU MUST HAVE
Diploma in Computer Science with 10+ years of meaningful software experience
WE VALUE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Strong understanding of the AOSP and its internals (applications / Linux kernel and bootloaders)
Significant meaningful experience with different OS (including Android dessert releases), technologies and programming languages
Experience in working with MDM providers will be an advantage
Experience in designing and implementing IoT solutions
Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
Understanding of various software development lifecycles
Ability to collaborate with diverse and global teams
Wide degree of creativity and latitude
Individuals who are proactive and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
Ability to find the accurate balance between demand and capacity when establishing priorities for the organization
Business oriented approach to software development
