Job SummaryEfficiently produce high quality plant-mixed products at the required production rates for our I-85 JV project in Gaffney, SC. Reports to Superintendent, Construction Manager, or Operations Manager. Essential Functions
Set-up, operate and take down plant as assigned.
Maintain and service equipment assigned to plant operation.
Monitor material inventories and coordinate material deliveries.
Verify proper input of mix design components for proper mixing of products on a daily basis.
Report daily production quantities, material usage, equipment usage and fuel consumption.
Operate dust control systems to conform to EPA regulations.
Maintain/provide records for plant permit requirements/assure compliance.
Maintain plant area in an orderly manner.
Maintain good working relationship with owner's representative/inspector.
Maintain highest level of safety in all construction activities; enforce all company safety rules and company policy.
Operate equipment safely and efficiently;
Monitor complete workings of batch-type concrete batch plant, including the following for proper working condition:
Mechanical components;
Electric components;
Electronic components

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ready-mix operations, concrete operations and/or construction industry required
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role required
Self-directed, results-oriented, and highly motivated, requiring minimal direct guidance
Ability to lead and motivate others; prior experience effectively managing a team preferred
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, problem-solve, and work under consistent pressure of deadlines
Valid drivers’ license and ability to maintain a clean motor vehicle record required
