Childcare Development Center is seeking a Director!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise teachers, Interns, and Assistant Director.
Approve and Process Payroll.
Hire and train new staff members.
Assist with professional development opportunities for staff.
Enforce policies and communicate them to staff and parents.
Assist with developing educational programs and standards.
Ensure instructional excellence.
Schedule and attend meetings with Owner(s), parents and staff to discuss students progress.
Assist with execution of prepared budgets and allocated program funds.
Develop an appropriate curriculum and ensure that it complies with state and federal requirements.
Oversee Facilities Management, ensuring that the center's physical facilities comply with local, state and federal laws and are a safe and appropriate environment for children.
Interview candidates, maintaining staff development and education.
Assist in disciplinary processes for staff and children.
Oversees the incident report process.
Orders staff background checks and confirms that necessary licenses are valid.
Maintains Director credentials and continuing education courses.
Tracks the credentials and continuing education courses of staff.
Serves as the 'face' of the Center, while conducting tours and meeting with parents of prospective students to determine whether the school is a good fit for the family.
Assist with accounts payable and receivables.
Assist with the marketing plan for the Center, developing public relations and advertising campaigns as necessary.
Completes all required paperwork and record keeping on a timely basis and maintains same in an organized, up-to-date manner. This includes all Center files: for example, student, personnel, vehicle, driver, health and safety files.
Plans Center activities and actively participates: for example, staff meetings, training sessions, open houses, planning sessions.
Develops and maintains professional working relationships with Center staff.
Assists with developing and actively maintaining positive communication with parents and staff.
Recognizes parent concerns, evaluates course of action and responds professionally to needs of parents.
Responsible for increasing revenue through building new enrollment and retaining current enrollees.
Responsible for proper cost control through managing inventory and supply usage.
Responsible for managing student accounts and collecting tuition and fees.
Ensures proper teacher-student ratios and that all staff perform their duties in a responsible manner.
Participates in conducting staff training and assessing performance continuously to ensure the proper implementation of the curriculum and programs.
Responsible for generating weekly and monthly reports. (payroll, enrollment, parent feedback, accounting, schedule reports, recruiting, Purchasing Report, Cash and deposit, Sales Report/Call Back, Parent delinquency Report, Update Report)
Effectively resolve problems related to the management of the Center or seeks appropriate assistance from Owner(s).
Responsible for opening or closing the Center.
Plans work schedules and supervises staff, assists in lesson planning and staff evaluations.
Maintains family accounts using Center software, and ensures accuracy and timely collection of accounts accordance with Center policies and procedures.
Keep abreast of trends and changes in early childhood education.
First point of contact for DSS and other pertinent agencies.
Qualifications:
Experienced in state licensing regulations, staffing, enrollment and budget management.
Minimum of 2 years sales and management experience, preferred.
Strong sales skills with high level of energy and enthusiasm
Proven Track history of meeting and exceeding revenue /budget expectations
Ability to conduct parent tours
Outgoing and confident personality
Solid presentation, communication, listening skills
Excellent customer service mindset
Excellent organization skills
The ability to multi-task
Ability to work with school aged children
Available most evenings and some Saturday
Flexible schedule
Candidates with sales and management experience in the following fields are welcome:

Required/ Education/Experience:
Must Meet the Quality Counts Criteria:
21 or older.
BA with a degree in early childhood or the like and 18 hours of early childhood classes.
Any BA and 6 months experience.
AA and 18 hours of early childhood and 6 months.
High school diploma, ECD101, 3 years experience.
Salary and Facility Information:
Pay Depends On Experience
2 weeks vacation after 6 months
Facility hours: 7 am 6pm
