Your work will have real-world impact, and you'll be supported in achieving your career goals.Location: Greenville, NCHow will you make an impact?Use appropriate mechanical/technical skills to properly assemble, operate, and troubleshoot equipment issues in the optimum operations of packaging, while ensuring proper documentation, process checks and verification of components. This position is a 12-hour day shift from 7am-7pm, on a 3-2-2 rotating schedule. Some overtime required.What will you do?· Utilize packaging equipment to pack containers of products according to approved departmental Standard Operating Practices (SOPs), SOMs and PWOs and ensures all in-process and completed work is correct.· Purge lines of components before and after packaging operations begin. Supply and service line with packaging components specified on the packaging work order.· Examine product visually for proper physical quality (i.e., properly filled, sealed, labelled, etc.) and report any irregularities observed during the packaging process to lead or supervision.· Guide and assist other team members in the efficient and proper operation of equipment.· Function as an equipment subject matter expert leading efficient setup and troubleshooting efforts with packaging line equipment.· Interact with maintenance and engineering team to establish and maintain the most efficient setup processes to maximize line uptime.· Interact with other packaging personnel to contribute positively to the orderly and efficient operation of the area.· Identify major equipment problems in a timely fashion and alert mechanic for assistance.· Assist supervisor and line lead in training other team members in efficient setup, operation, and troubleshooting of line equipment to maximize team efficiency in meeting production demands.· Perform other related duties as required by the job or directed by the supervisor.· Make sure to safely operate mobile equipment, store and transport required materials to proper areas for use.· Check receipt of packaging components or delivery of finished stock for quality, quantity, and agreement with packaging work order.· Observe and enforce all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), safety precautions and housekeeping practices in performing duties.· Comply with cGMP, Occupational Safety Health Agency (OSHA) and company rulings.· Keep area neat and clean.· Maintain own skills by participation in training programs.· Serve as a communication resource for engineering and process improvement team on equipment performance and improvement opportunities.How will you get here?Education:Associates Degree in Industrial Technology related mechanical field preferred; HS Diploma or equivalent minimally required.Experience:Minimum three to five years’ experience in technical manufacturing or equipment support role, preferably in pharmaceutical or related industry.Equivalency:Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesAttention to detail. Demonstrate punctuality and sense of responsibility through adherence to attendance guidelines.
