Title: Microsoft Systems Administrator

Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension

Location: Greenville, SC 29607 (Onsite from day 1)

Hiring Manager Notes:A) Education: BS/BA degree in Business, IT or related disciple or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in Information Technology. B) Experience: 3+ years of technical experience in Information Technology to include experience with infrastructure services in the areas of Messaging, Collaboration, and related technologies in an operational environment. Qualification notes: This candidate will be responsible for the worldwide administration of office 365, off the existing system. There is a provider now, but this person will be responsible for the planning and implementation of office 365. Top 3 most important experiences: planning, troubleshooting, roll out, implementation of (1) Microsoft teams, (2) SharePoint Online, and (3) One Drive for business. Nice to have: Powershell. Currently, we are not planning on any WFH % at all. It would be one day max per week after the onboarding period

Position Purpose/Scope:

What are the key objectives of the position?Serves as the Office 365 operational and support specialist with responsibility for coordinating the planning and implementation of Microsoft 365 workloads and applications such as OneDrive, Teams, & SharePoint. Provides support for Office applications and solutions related to Office 365 for client’s Group worldwide.

II. Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

List the major duties/accountabilities to achieve the positions key objectives.
  • Works closely within the global network of IT technology groups and stakeholders to ensure that standards, operations, processes and procedures are aligned and follows the directions of the function “My Collaboration”.
  • Ensures overall adherence to the client’s Group Strategy.
  • Evaluates and implements new solutions into the My Collaboration portfolio based upon changing business and technology requirements.
  • Participates in service request fulfillment for operational projects, moves or non-standard requests.
  • Escalates to management unresolved, singular incidents or service requests after an end user escalation.
  • Provides troubleshooting and specialized expertise in support of external/internal customers and IT Specialists located worldwide to resolve complex problems or design/implement substantial modifications to existing products.
  • Provides support for a variety of products including hardware, infrastructure and services technology and/or software applications throughout all phases of the service deployment life cycle
  • Supports Microsoft 365 governance and compliance standards (DLP/DRP/IRM/ATP/etc.)
  • Identifies areas for potential automation and implements updates to processes and services to reduce operational risk and increase efficiency.
  • Operator of Cloud technologies to include the innovations, automation, transition, and operational support of them
  • Oversees support and implementation of Microsoft 365 services to include Multi-Tenants and Multi-Geo architectures
  • Supports User Identity and Feature Access to include License Management
  • Supports the introduction and operations of Office 365 workloads and applications
  • Supports the Operations of Microsoft 365 security and threat management solutions
  • Provides event, access, incident and problem management as well service request fulfillment for non-standard solutions related to MS Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, & and other Cloud service offerings within the My Collaboration portfolio
  • Utilizes technical and process skills to ensure delivery and complete customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors KPI’s and service SLAs to ensure all processes and providers are meeting expectations.
  • Provides and maintains documentation within the designated IT Systems for all services offered within the My Collaboration portfolio.
  • Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts. Maintains current knowledge of future innovations, technical trends and applies this to direct future changes. Aligns knowledge of the solutions available to best practices for the business processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor.

III. Position Competencies:

A) Education: BS/BA degree in Business, IT or related disciple or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in Information Technology.

B) Experience: 3+ years of technical experience in Information Technology to include experience with infrastructure services in the areas of Messaging, Collaboration, and related technologies in an operational environment.

C) Training: As applicable, per client’s Group training guidelines.

D) Licenses and/or Certifications: MCP, MCSA, ITIL(v3)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Basic = less than 1 year of experience/training needed; Intermediate = 1 – 3 years of experience/some training may be needed; Advanced = 3-5 years experience/no training needed; Expert = 5+ years experience/able to train others. 3+ years of knowledge of information system concepts and technologies.3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office 365 Online Services and Operations3+ years of working knowledge of Scripting Languages (Powershell/VB/.Net)3+ years of working knowledge of Office Product and User Support Services3+ years of IT Operations Support3+ years of experience demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills to interface with associated vendors, interfaces, and processes.3+ years of experience demonstrating strong written, oral communication and presentation skills.3+ years of experience interfacing with the business to meet requirements and targets.
