Description: Munitions Build-up Technician: This position is at Balad AB, Iraq.Duties: The Munitions Build-up Technician is responsible to the Weapons, Armament, and Munitions Manager with coordination through the Munitions Lead/Shop Chief for all munitions related storage, inspection, maintenance, testing, assembly, and munitions delivery operations.Munitions Build-up Technician: Responsibilities include; assembling, maintaining, storing, delivering and inventory management of nonnuclear munitions and solid propellants. Inspecting, assembling, maintaining, inventory management, and modernizing mechanical, electrical, electronic, and high explosive components of weapons and warheads, air launched missiles and associated test equipment.Duties also include maintenance and modernizing mechanical, electrical, electronic, and high explosive components of weapons and warheads, air launched missiles, countermeasures, associated test equipment, and munitions maintenance handling equipment. Provides OJT to the customer as required.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/INFO: Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills. Must read, write and speak English fluently. Must have or be able to rapidly secure a DOD secret clearance. Regularly required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead. This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting. Assignment location is in Iraq.Basic Qualifications:Fighter aircraft munitions and weapons qualificationsCandidate must be a high school graduate or have completed an equivalent program.Candidate must have held a USAF skill level 7 (or equivalent) in the munitions career field.Candidate must have at least 4 years’ experience with F-16 aircraft maintenance systems/activities.Must have progressive and documented experience in the fighter aircraft maintenance environment and be able to provide documented qualifications in related maintenance fields.Have a working knowledge of munitions, missile systems, impulse cartridges, and countermeasures used on F-16 aircraftDesired Skills:Previous experience setting up munitions maintenance work areasA strong understanding of the maintenance processPerforms routine munitions and missile system troubleshooting and repair.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
