131523BRPosition Title:NURSE PRACTITIONERJob Details:URGENT CARE CENTER - AUGUSTA ROADPOSITION SUMMARYThe Nurse Practitioner provides health care services to individuals, families and communities. The Nurse Practitioner is both an independent and collaborative health care provider who works independently with a physician preceptor. The primary emphasis of the NP scope of practice includes treatment of acute and chronic disease states, patient education, health promotion, and disease prevention. The NP utilizes skills of history taking, physical assessment and diagnosis to manage a wide variety of health care needs for patients. The NP continues to refine health care skills through participation in continuing education programs.JOB REQUIREMENTSThe following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to adequately perform this job. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.
Currently licensed as a registered nurse and recognized as Nurse Practitioner by the State Board of Nursing
of South Carolina.
Nationally certified as a NP through American Nurse Credentialing Center.
Masters Degree in Nursing.
Minimum of one year experience.
CPR certified
ACLS and PALS certification within one year of employment if required by practice.
Aware of importance of maintaining good rapport with fellow workers, physicians, personnel of other
