Kelly Services is recruiting a Production Planner for a temperature-controlled packaging facility in Greenville, SC!Regular office hours. Direct hire!Salary: $48-50kThe Planner is responsible for keeping a production schedule on track . Job duties include developing a master schedule in consultation with management, ensuring all materials are stocked, and overseeing the workflow of the production facility. Performs tasks and duties associated with product manufacture planning, including producing schedules, materials lists, and production plans. Helps to analyze production specifications to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and personnel requirements. Ensures material flow and production activity are aligned. Prepares work orders. Recommends schedule changes resulting from material or labor shortages, design changes, or backlogs when necessary.Main Tasks and Responsibilities:Work with management in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime.

Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders.

Develop and review production plan with Managers for approval.

Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion.

Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution.

Investigate production problem, analyze root causes and provide solutions.

Communicate production status to Mangers and Customers on regular basis.

Analyze back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations.

Plan equipment, material and manpower requirements to execute job orders.

Coordinate with Managers in planning and implementing engineering changes in production lines.

Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses.

Monitor production progress and ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.

Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives.

Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines.

Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences

Evaluating purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.

Estimating the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.

Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production.

Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.

Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.

Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.

Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.

Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.

Requirements :Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.

Proven experience working as a production planner.

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication skills.
