We are looking for a Scrum Master who is an expert in Agile, and who will be able to guide development teams in this methodology as well as influence the organization on best practices. The successful candidate will understand that our teams operate under a “Agile hybrid” approach, but that we strive to improve our understanding and application of Agile methodologies. The Scrum Master must be a positive, energetic force in this progress, influencing scrum team and senior management behavior and thinking.Primary Responsibilities
Guide the team and organization on Agile/Scrum practices and values
Remove impediments or guide the teams to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to address task blocking issues
Supporting the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
Gather and report Scrum team statistics to stakeholders
Build on the analysis and recorded experience of similar projects to facilitate better quality estimates
Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization
Coach the teams to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
Identify resource dependencies
Identify any backlog items that would require resources outside of the defined scrum team
Occasional overnight travel (<10%)
First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM);
Experience fulfilling the Scrum Master role for at least 2 years
5+ years in a leadership or technical role in software or systems development

Situational Awareness: Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management if the team is not able to resolve.
Assertiveness: Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason.
Facilitation: Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team.
Communication: Must be able to communicate well with teams, team members and management.
