- Review, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements specifications to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future IT department capability
- Provide input to the strategic direction of technology solutions to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment
- Within the agreed enterprise architecture, define and design technology solutions to assist the business in meeting their business objectives
- Develop, test and implement technology solutions and report on delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes
- Identify technology process optimization opportunities
- The IT Solutions Architect is also responsible to find the best tech solution among all possible to solve the existing business problems.
- Describing the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software to project stakeholders.
- Defining features, phases, and solution requirements.
- Providing specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered.
- Testing frameworks, automating test processes.
- This position will accomplish these tasks through direct execution and involvement and coordinating with the Technology department resources and external vendors, service providers, contractors, and consultants.
- Additional duties include working with related process stakeholders to identify and resolve related problems and issues and realize efficiencies as a result of process and system improvements.
- This position will also serve the role of project manager for some if not all related activities.
- 5+ years of progressive experience working with software, systems and services. Experience with Elite and Aderant is a plus.
- 2+ years as an enterprise technical lead/architect
- Understanding of frameworks: Architecture frameworks (such as ToGAF, DoDAF, FEAF, Zachman, OWASP etc.)
- Proficient with Office 365, SharePoint, SPO and Microsoft technologies
- Specifically (a plus):
- Experience building a farm, Across SP versions (on prem and SPI), Using PowerShell, Creating service applications, User Profile, Experience creating/maintaining the User Profile, Using PowerShell to administer/monitor/maintain the farm
- Need to know how to patch and maintain SharePoint.
- Experience using the UI for permissions, settings, features, term store.
- In both on prem and SPO
- Experience maintaining/administration of Azure, as well as Teams, OneNote
- Experience with cloud specifically Azure (required)
- Ability to use a variety of design tools
- Ability to visualize complex issues
- Creative problem solving, Net
- Command Line Interface applications, Web base ASP.Net MVC applications, SOAP and WCF web services creation and consumption, Microsoft Visual Studio 2015+, C#, Entity Framework and Linq to SQL
- Deployment/Publishing practices, Source Control (Git, TFS), Authentication, Active Directory, Role base security models, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL and SSMS, Stored Procedure
- Workflow engines a plus (Nintex, IntApp Flow, Microsoft Flow, Aderant Flow)
- jQuery, jQuery UI and jQuery Mobile, CSS and LESS. Bootstrap, HTML 5 and browser dependencies
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Open-Source languages (a plus), HTML 5, SDLC
- Agile development practices (SCRUM preferred)
