Cheeseman Transport in Greer, SC is a company providing LTL, TL, dedicated and leasing services is seeking an individual to support our maintenance department.

Hours would be the following:
Sunday - Thursday; 2:00pm - 10:00pm
.
Responsibilities would include (but not limited to):
1. Preventative maintenance on equipment
2. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
3. Perform repairs as needed or directed
4. DOT inspections
5. Complete necessary paperwork on equipment and work performed
6. Maintain clean and safe work environment
7. Ensure completed work meets federal and state codes/regulations
8. Work collaboratively with other Technicians to evaluate and repair equipment
9. Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Supervisor

The position offers competitive wages and full array of benefits. Sign on Bonus for new hires of $2,000 and personal tool allowance. Compensation will be based on experience.

Minimum Requirements:
1 Year recent experience in heavy duty truck preventative maintenance and repair, remote breakdown resolution, manufacturer's warranty and computer diagnostics skills
The ability to work multiple shifts.
OR
Technical school graduates with less experience and individuals with strong mechanical and technical skills and a desire to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of heavy duty truck experience
Current CDL license is a plus
