To be considered for these roles, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in foundry technology or engineering and two to four years of experience, or seven plus years of foundry process engineering experience in lieu of a degree. In this job, your main responsibility is the delivery of successful process to production line in order to achieve high first pass yield on PPAP validations. One position will focus more on processing of MAGMA simulation results and running simulations.Tooling / Process Engineer job duties: Delivery of finished casting processes (gating, rigging designs) to move through PPAP validation. Develop gating, riser, chilling geometry and processes for individual part numbers that fit within the capability of the foundry processing equipment . Developing tooling from order to delivery working with both internal and external pattern shops. Minimum two plus years of experience with a degree, or seven plus years of foundry process engineering experience in lieu of a degree. One or two years of experience in sand cast iron processes and air set molding. Software requirements: Creo and Magma. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Self-guided, assertive, strong decision making skills: willing to make a decision on the fly with best information available.
