Job Description

1) Provide quality service to sia Abrasives customers (distributors & end users) in all assigned tasks, while upholding sia Abrasives values at all times.

2) Achievement of assigned sales budget by maximizing promotion and sales activity on sia Abrasives products.

3) Efficient management of distribution relationships.

4) Responsible for sales and promotion of sia Abrasive products within customer segments in assigned territory:

Develop and maintain territory coverage plan with designated territory;

Routine coverage of key assigned accounts;

Proper presentation of the sia Abrasives line as directed;

Communicate regularly with management;

Efficient use of and knowledge of sia Abrasives policies, procedures, and technology.

5) Responsible for market development activities:

· Focus on development and maintenance of key accounts (distributors and end users)

· Perform product in-service training to ensure customer satisfaction, as needed

· Frequent market feedback on products, competition and market conditions to your manager

· Develop and maintain territory specific information relative to competitors and distributors in the market mix;

· Develop, maintain and deliver accurate information on lost business;

· Develop relationship with new customers and bring new customer accounts in assigned territory.

6) Actively probe for all sia Abrasives products for current and potential customer and communicate the result to the sales management.

7) Generate ideas that contribute to territory, business unit, company mission and profitability.

8) Timely and accurate fulfillment of Sales Administration duties:

Expense reporting within guidelines outlined in sia Abrasives Travel & Entertainment Policy;

Sales Call and Sales Activities Reporting;

Reporting on conferences, trade shows and/or workshops.

9) Develop and establish a consistent group of strong distributors aligned with sia Abrasives Mission, Vision and objectives.

10) With manager’s support and approval develop and implement the business plan in assigned region.

Regular duties:

· Work with distributor partners to evaluate, test and gain new applications.

· Support existing partners and develop new distribution as needed in territory

· Test new products with customers and monitor and report on test results;

· Submit sample requests and pricing quotes;

· Report on sales activities to sales manager- weekly and as needed

· Monitor and report your sales expenses are requested by the company policy;

· Special assignments

Qualifications

Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong sales closing skills. Prior attendance at formal sales training courses a plus.

Organizational skills- with emphasis on time management and proper territory planning/management.

Working knowledge of abrasive products and distributors in the assigned area;

Demonstrated record of achievement in prior sales position.

Excellent oral, written and telephone skills; strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to learn and retain product specific information as it pertains to the position.

Computer literate with knowledge of word processing applications, Outlook, and Excel spreadsheets.

Valid Driver’s License required

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or other business field.

· 5 years of sales experience.

· Abrasives sales experience is a plus

Additional Information

Working Hours:

Hours may vary and will require evening and weekend work depending on business needs and will require working overtime;

Working Environment:

Work usually in the field with overnight travel

Tools and Equipment Used:

Computer, cell phone, and company car.

Travel:

Ability to travel at least 85% of time as required by role.
