PURPOSE: Conducts 100% inspection of Foley catheters.SHIFT: Monday - Thursday 3:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.This role is considered a temporary assignment, with benefits, beginning immediately and anticipated to end on 6/2/2023, subject to business conditions. If, at the end of that period, you have not obtained another position within BD, your employment will terminate and you will be eligible for severance benefits per the Severance Plan currently in effect.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Will conduct a 100% inspection of Foley catheters to include inflation of the sac and immersing the product into water.
Will be trained to fill in for the Funnel Trim Operator and department Utility.
Must be able to lift tote cases weighing up to 35 lbs.
Must have accurate record keeping skills.
Must follow all GMP/BOP guidelines.
Maintain clean and organized work area as outlined in the GMPs.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.High School diploma or GED
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Accurately able to measure weight, volume and temperature.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands or arms (to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls) and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near wet and/or humid conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low. The employee is not subjected to noise above OSHA levels without providing hearing protection, which will attenuate the noise to less than 85 db.
The Personal Protective Equipment required to perform this job safely includes safety glasses, apron, and appropriate shoes.
