We have over 65,000 employees and a presence in virtually every country around the world to address some of the most challenging global health issues.POSITION DESCRIPTIONPosition Title: Hand BurnerReports To: Supervisor 78011Department: 78011Location: Moncks CornerLevel: H – 04PURPOSE: Responsible for burning the drainage eyes in strategic locations of the catheters.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Hand burns drainage eyes into the product according to specifications with hand burning device.
Will be trained to fill in for the Utility.
Must be able to lift up to 10 tote cases daily weighing up to 35 lbs. each.
Must have ability to keep accurate records.
Must have ability to read and understand written instructions, BOPs, DHRs, and component tickets.
Must follow all GMP/BOP guidelines.
Maintain clean and organized work area as outlined in the GMPs.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.High School diploma or GED.
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Accurately able to measure weight, volume and temperature.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands or arms (to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls) and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near a hot iron and some minor residual smoke from burning the catheters.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low. The employee is not subjected to noise above OSHA levels without providing hearing protection, which will attenuate the noise to less than 85 db.
The Personal Protective Equipment required to perform this job safely includes safety glasses, finger guards, and appropriate shoes.
