Currently seeking team members who are passionate about building lasting vacation memories for owners/guests visiting our resort properties! Are you someone whose service orientated, courtesy, poses basic cooking and safety regulations knowledge with a strong foods safety knowledge?
What will I be doing?As a
Grill Cook, you will perform culinary job duties and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area/environment at all times. To ensure our guests receive the highest standards of quality of food taste and presentation Assist lead grill cook and managers in the day-to-day operations.- Prepare food according to specs and stock and keep the kitchen and all areas clean
- Assure that the food area is kept clean and food is stored properly at the end of each shift according to health specifications
- Ensure that food items are ticketed and dated with employee name to ensure freshness and that stocked items are received and accounted for
- Assist in all areas of the grill
- Wash all work areas including refrigerator and utensils used and keep trash and boxes broken down and remove to the proper area
- Assure all food is rotated and labeled with the date, time, and employee name
- Stock all foods in cooler and proper shelves to meet department of health regulations
- Record and report all lost food due to spoiling and overproduction
- Assist in stewarding duties: washing pots, pans, kitchen utensils, serving bowls, serving dishes, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen working area and environment
- Help conduct inventory when necessary, especially on high-cost items
A team-first attitude
- 1+years previous culinary experience to include grill and cold prep
- High school diploma or equivalent
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- 2 + years previous culinary experience to include grill and cold prep
- Current food safety certification
