GENERAL INFORMATION

Job Title: Associate Attorney

Classification: Full Time

Office Location: Downtown Conway, SC (Horry County)

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Practice Areas: Family, Criminal, and Personal Injury

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide zealous and diligent legal representation of client matters while maintaining ethical duties and civility.

Provide quality legal services and superior customer service to clients.

Evaluate and identify issues, provide legal advice and develop legal strategy for client matters.

Unless candidate has three years or more of experience, Associate shall work under the direct supervision and training of the Senior Attorney.

Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, summaries, orders, notices, memos and other legal documents.

Draft discovery, subpoenas, and respond to discovery requests.

Court appearances for motions, hearings, and trials.

Assist Senior Attorney in preparing for trial as needed.

Maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential.

Perform multi-task duties and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by Supervising Attorney.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Juris Doctor degree

Licensed by the South Carolina Bar

Completion of Trial Experiences per Rule 403, SCACR or near completion

Excellent critical thinking skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Computer and word processing proficiency (Microsoft Word)

Professional dress and well-groomed appearance

Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Salary commensurate with experience; range $45,000-$100,000+
