As the Production Manager at our Fiberon Brand recycling facility with approximately 100 employees (5 direct reports) operating 24/7, you will guide and manage the operations team in developing and executing processes to achieve facility-wide goals. You will be responsible for driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while leveraging data to support continuous improvement efforts. This is a fully onsite, day shift role, typically working 6:45 AM to 4:30 PM, overseeing all production lines and managing a team of 40+ employees across four 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 operation.You will plan and prioritize work to meet organizational goals, balancing capacity to demand, managing labor, and building a high-performing, diverse team. Strong communication skills are essential as you tailor messages to various audiences and foster a culture of honesty, integrity, and trust. You will instill accountability by holding yourself and others responsible for commitments, making sound decisions under pressure, and driving results even in challenging situations.Additionally, you will build and engage teams by creating a motivating environment, championing safety initiatives, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Your success will be measured by your ability to manage change, streamline processes, and apply lean manufacturing principles.The ideal candidate will have 5+ years management experience in manufacturing organizations. A background in Quality / Engineering roles is strongly preferred in addition to having an advanced degree, manufacturing certifications, and experience in 24/7 operations.Relocation assistance to New London, NC is available for this role.What You Will Be Doing:Implement strategies for safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals within the department.Promote a performance-driven culture by communicating company vision and values.Guide safety initiatives through commitment to safety programs and site-specific plans.Track and improve KPIs, using data to drive continuous improvement.Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting product specifications and maintaining open communication.Identify and implement ways to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.Manage key projects for the site meeting established KPIs and provide the required ROI.Recruit, manage and develop front-line leaders and support staff to meet plant goals.Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.Address and resolve work-related issues, supporting production supervisors as needed.Train and engage associates to ensure proper use of equipment and tools.Foster a positive work environment with ongoing coaching and feedback.
