Position DescriptionGeneral Description The Company employs individuals who are known as Equipment Service Technicians to perform specific functions as it relates to maintaining vehicles. This position creates efficiency inside an operation by having designated individuals check and prepare the equipment for the next shift, as compared to having each Field Service Technician service his/her own vehicle. Equipment Service Procedures

General Service Procedures:

Fuel vehiclesto 90% of fuel tank capacity

Check fluids to ensure they are at the proper operating level:

Engine Oil

Engine coolant(antifreeze)

Transmission fluid

Power steering fluid

Windshield washer fluid

Vacuum pump oil

Brake fluid (if applicable)

Perform visual inspection of vehicle to assess the following:

Lights operable

Lug nuts in place

Window and glass condition

Mirror condition

Fluid leaks

Sight glasses

Damages

Specific Service Procedures:

Route Base Service Trucks:

Empty waste tank

Recharge water tank (weather permitting)

Recharge liquid deodorant tank (if applicable)

Drain secondary tank

Drain oil muffler tank

Restock service supplies:

Toilet Paper

Urinal Blocks

Urinal Cleaner

Spice Spray fragrance

Graffiti remover

Steriwash (hand sanitizer) cartridges

Pink hand soap cartridges

C-Fold Towels

Scrub brush (if needed)

Squeegee (if needed)

Toilet Paper dowels (if needed)

5 Gallon Bucket (if needed)

Service wand (if needed)

Vacuum hose(s) (if needed)

Minimum of (2) 33 foot vacuum hoses required

Mr. John Delivery Trucks:

Recharge water tank (weather permitting)

Ensure lift gate is equipped with safety pins for safe operation

Ensure hand truck is secure and tires are inflated

Winterization Procedures:

Drain all water systems and/or tanks (if needed)

Park designated trucks indoors according to operational deployment

Plug in block heater for trucks parked outdoors

Park vacuum trucks outdoors with rear elevated in order to prevent rear valve from freezing (if possible)

When mixing solar salt with water to create brine solution, utilize hydrometer to determine freezing point of solution

Requirements

HS Diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 1-year commercial or general vehicle driving experience

All CDL Required Drivers must have at least one (1) year verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience in the last three (3) years.

Valid Driver License (CDL or non-commercial)
