INFORMATION ASSURANCE ANALYST - SENIOR (BCSS-21-0391-W): Bowhead seeks a Information Assurance Analyst to support the upcoming Cybersecurity Information Technology contract located in Charleston, SC and Norfolk, VA. This contract is tasked with cybersecurity, systems security engineering, technical, and management support services to various program offices. Specifically, this support will encompass Risk Management Framework tasks, engineering activities, and recommendations for technical support for multiple projects and programs. The Information Assurance Analyst will plan, coordinate, and implement an organization's computer information security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Other responsibilities may include, but not limited to: • Review violations of computer security procedures to eliminate violations. • Provide work leadership for lower level employees. • Assist in the discovery of the systems' protection needs and definition of system security requirements, design of system security architectures, development of security designs, implementation of security systems, and in the assessment of the effectiveness of information protection. • Assist the government in ensuring cybersecurity is an integrated part of systems engineering and the security and IA solutions are effective and efficient. • Assist the government in executing full security engineering and review services while meeting all IA requirements respective to confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information assurance, programming, or a related field. • Individual shall be certified in accordance with DoDD 8570.1 Information Assurance Technician III and subject to meeting subsequent requirements of latest DoD 8140 manual. • Ten (10+) years of experience providing support in the prevention of damage to, protection of, and restoration or computers, electronic communications systems, electronic communications services, wire communication, and electronic communication to ensure data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation; at a minimum, individual shall be able to design secure systems, write secure computer code, and create the tools needed to prevent, detect, mitigate, and reconstitute information systems. • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. • Ability to communicate effectively, interpret regulatory guidance and identified vulnerabilities to a wide audience. Presentation and strong public speaking skills are required. • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
