Job Description

Our team builds customer facing features for some of the most highly visited media websites in Australia, as well as the content management systems and services. We’re using a brand new, entirely cloud-first modern tech stack, with a fully automated, Slack-integrated CI/CD DevOps environment. We craft world-class high performance, high availability, web applications in small autonomous Agile squads.As one of our newest Quality Engineers (Automation)/Engineer-in-Test you'll be creating and executing test suites for web apps and APIs.

Day to day you will:

  • Be the voice of quality in the team
  • Code alongside engineers, deploying to test and production environments
  • Build, use and improve various automation tools and frameworks
  • Identify, highlightand implementquality improvements across the product, process and culture
  • Setdirections for quality tooling and strategy
  • Provide mentorship to other engineers, instilling a strong focus on security and quality
  • Exercise values of shifting quality left in a dynamic, Agile - DevOps model of software delivery

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience with test methodologies, QA processes, software release cycle including test planning, test execution, bug reporting & test sign-off
  • Good demonstrated understanding of Object oriented design principles and patterns
  • A commitment to quality in your work and that of your team. You’ve helped create high quality software through implementation of automated and manual QA processes
  • Experience with Git, Continuous Integration/Development, Agile Software Development, especially using Atlassian tools like JIRA, SourceTree
  • A strong understanding of agile development best practices including Scrum and Lean methodologies.
