Job Description
Veeam Software are seeking an experienced VoIP Engineer to join our telephony team. This candidate will need strong technical and interpersonal skills to address the needs of our organization.
Responsibilities:- Performing general operational support and maintenance routines on Asterisk and adjacent systems
- Designing phone system architecture to accommodate growth and changes in workplace environment
- Implementing changes and configuring equipment
- Managing configurations, troubleshooting, provisioning and coordinating 3rd party systems integration
- Dealing with tickets, clarify user concerns and gather all necessary information to troubleshoot and resolve issues and service in a timely manner
- End user communications
- Developing and maintaining system and configuration documentation
- Participating in all relevant meetings to answer technical questions about the system
- Analyzing system performance to ensure high system availability and accessibility for all respective users
- Working with tasks in Project/Task management system
- dCAP certification or similar knowledge level
- Foundational knowledge of installing, configuring, and maintaining:
- SIP, IAX, DUNDi
- PBX features: Voicemail, Queues, IVR, MusicOnHold, Chan Spy, FollowMe, Call Forward, etc.
- CDR/CEL
- AMI/AGI
- PJSIP
- Understanding how SBC works
- Deep understanding of SIP protocol to troubleshoot network and telecom issues
- Configuration/provisioning of multi-vendor endpoints (Polycom, Cisco, various softphones, etc.)
- Strong IP networking and Linux skill. Experienced Linux user
- MySQL/MariaDB/Postgres knowledge
- Pure Asterisk configuration from source
- Bash scripting
- Version control via Git
- Python scripting
- AGI/ARI programming experience
- Monitoring systems (SolarWinds)
- Russian speaking a plus
