Job Description

The Business Operation Analytics team is a highly collaborative and passionate group. We love data and strive to provide the most reliable and accurate business insights that multiple teams across FireEye use to make critical business decisions.

The right candidate for this role is someone who can understand and transform business requirements into actionable data using his technical and scripting abilities. The position requires the ability to create a unified data store by automating the collection of data from various data sources such as Salesforce, Open Air, Jira and multiple databases (Oracle, Postgres, My Sql) to be consumed by analysts for further analysis and reporting through Power BI. The engineer will lead efforts focused on driving consistency, quality improvements and enhancements throughout the data, analytics and reporting areas. The data engineer will be able to design, code and provide architecture solutions for the team, including but not limited to database design, data modeling and data integration.

What you will do:

  • Work with analysts to understand business requirements
  • Perform data extraction and transformation from external data stores like databases and external API’s
  • Define and implement best data driven practices
  • Maintain scheduled data processes for availability, accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience using Python to transform data
  • At least 3 years of experience in a performing ETL Operations or a similar role
  • 2-4 years of experience in database technologies: Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Experience working in Linux or Unix environments
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Salary: $80,000. Final salary will be determined commensurately with cost of living, experience level, and/or any other legally permissible considerations.

Incentive Compensation: Eligibility for annual bonus subject to individual and company performance; eligibility for award of Restricted Stock Units subject to eligibility requirements, approval from FireEye’s Compensation Committee, and vesting terms
