Job Description
The primary purpose of the Advanced Data Analytics (ADA) Lead role is to establish and operate a center of expertise that applies leading edge modeling, simulation and analytics to enhance operations in development and manufacturing. This is a strategically critical role as we move into the modern digital world and need to use intelligent approaches to operate our labs, plants and business processes generally. In the production space, a key element will be the leadership of the maturity of the advanced process control (APC) continuum we have established. This leader will directly supervise an ADA team and matrixed experts to enable the innovation, deployment and sustainment of advanced analytics capabilities across Pharmaceutical Operations and Technology (PO&T) Division from development through supply. In addition, this leader will need to be a key player in the Digital Evolution efforts being rolled out in PO&T as well as the execution of an upskilling plan to increase the fluency of all employees in the ability to glean more information and knowledge from data to enable them to operate in a digital workplace. This leader will need to work with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and prioritize work as well as enable adoption of the capabilities. The leader will also need to be an externally recognized thought leader to shape regulatory approaches and work with technology leaders to bring the best into Biogen.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:- Advanced degree in Natural Science, Engineering or Mathematics.
- 10+ years of experience in the field of advanced analytics.
- Proven track record of applying mathematical technologies to successfully bring value to the business in the process development and manufacturing domains.
- An experienced leader able to lead a team of direct reports and matrixed partners to accomplish work.
- Strategic approaches to analytics driving maturity of the capability and working with the business to understand unmet needs.
- Fluency in bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing processing, process control, data engineering, data science, data analytics and simulation
