Job ResponsibilitiesThis position is located within the Division of Technology Operations (DTO) of the Department of Administration. Under limited supervision, incumbent will work as a senior level general architect for infrastructure, End Point, Network and Migration teams performing independent analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of complex information technology (IT) infrastructure and technologies. Other job responsibilities include:

Works closely with Infrastructure, End Point, Network and Migration team members; provides senior level instruction and guidance of activities and tasks; and ensures that work/team projects are being executed in accordance with DTO priorities, compliance standards and customer standards;

Performs senior level analysis and provides direction in the configuration, implementation and support of all IT infrastructure services to include virtual and physical server, Microsoft Active Directory, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (EPO), Enterprise Storage and a host of other applications and processes;

Develops, implements and executes standard and procedure that promote competent reuse across the agency;

Performs other duties as assigned/required.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and experience in computer system design, development and modification OR an approved equivalence by the Division of State Human Resources (DSHR).Additional Requirements: Advanced knowledge of information technology (IT) system analysis, design, testing, and maintenance techniques. Advanced knowledge of computer or network hardware, software, operating systems, programming languages or other IT tools/resources. Ability to solve moderately complex problems and apply critical thinking skills to needs/problems, both individually and as part of a team. Ability to prepare status reports and moderately complex technical reports in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work effectively with users, vendors, staff members and other IT units. Ability to follow technical directions. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to flexibly manage multiple priorities and proactively address needs in a dynamic environment. Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) certification will be required after hire. May require overnight travel. May require reporting to work on evenings and/or weekends. May require on-call shifts and call back hours . Up-to-date certification is required. May require reporting to work during emergency situations. May require the employee to work form a remote location beyond the standard 37.5 hours per week to potentially include working holidays. Incumbent will be required to carry a laptop and cell phone for after-hours contact.
