DescriptionAccountemps has an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk opportunity in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals. While working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate in this role will be expected to manage the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Rock Hill, South Carolina area and will be a long-term temporary position.Key responsibilities
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Carry out a full-cycle A/P
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Help with internal and external audits as required
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Execute additional tasks as needed
Requirements
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks
Expertise in QuickBooks
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
