Job Family: ManufacturingReq ID: 321244How can you help us craft the future as a General Laborer - Paint & Plating & HiPot in the Fabrication area?We are looking for dedicated people with the skills and vision to build a better tomorrow by joining our manufacturing team! You will process, transport, and prepare fabricated manufactured goods in conformance to engineering drawings and quality standards. This position is the support for the Machine Operators and includes working in the Paint, Platting, and hi-pot areas!What are your responsibilities? Load/Unload Station: Loads and unloads fabricated parts (panels / bars) of multiple sizes onto overhead conveyor. Manipulates hooks into hole locations to secure parts throughout conveyor movement process. Sets up line according to production schedule. Complete Material inspections required for material moving on and off of the area and utilizes specified measuring tools, to complete quality checks per ISO requirements. Completes confirmation documentation via SAP data management system. Cleans and maintains equipment and work area to ensure accurate functioning and safe working conditions and wear appropriate PPE Accesses and utilizes various documents, with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture of products in assembly for completion of confirmations (e.g. Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, etc.) When assigned to a Spray Booth: Manually touches up fabricated parts through the operation of a spray gun. Handles automatic spray guns, and completes touch up hidden surfaces of fabricated parts. Position requires using a pallet jack or powered industrial truck to move material in and out of the areas. Performs other work per Supervisor's direction.What are the required knowledge, skills & experience? High School diploma or equivalent Must complete and pass Essential Functional Testing Must pass Respirator FIT test, when assigned to the spraying booths (requires clean shaving to use respirator) Basic shop math, digital literacy, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language Work standing for the duration of the shift Reach, grasp, lift 40 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material and make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects. Stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb Experience on powder painting or spraying system is a plus. Experience on previous hi-pot testing system is a plus.
