Technology (IT) Support Services Team in the Network Operations and Security

Center (NOSC) of the US Air Forces Central Command (USAFCENT) Communications

Directorate (A6). This opportunity places you at the tip of the spear for Engineering,

Operations and Maintenance, Cyber Security, and Defensive Cyber Operations

supporting the warfighter in the Southwest Asia area.USAFCENT is the air component

of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a regional unified command.

USAFCENT, in concert with its coalition, joint and interagency partners,

delivers decisive air and space power on behalf of USCENTCOM for the security

and stability of the Southwest Asia (SWA) region. The USAFCENT NOSC delivers

cyberspace command and control (C2) superiority to the warfighter by

engineering, implementing, securing, managing, operating and maintaining

USAFCENT’s Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet), Secret

Internet Protocol Router (SIPRNet), USCENTCOM Partner Networks (CPN-X), and associated

C2 networks, systems and services.The USAFCENT NOSC executes the

full-spectrum of IT services management and operations for USAFCENT networks 24

hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week (24/7); and is tasked by USCENTCOM to provide

information assurance (IA) boundary intrusion detection and intrusion

prevention for USCENTCOM components. Comprised of NOSC operations, operations

support, cybersecurity, network engineering, and command support functions, the

USAFCENT NOSC plans, engineers, installs, integrates, operates and maintains,

protects and manages enterprise-wide network and systems architecture,

infrastructure and services; and provides enterprise-level oversight to its

subordinate and supported communications support activities.Candidates will be working at

Shaw AFB, SC and/or Lackland AFB, TX. Frequent temporary duty (TDY) and/or

deployment travel to OCONUS locations in the USCENTCOM AOR is required to

support sustainment, site surveys, installations, upgrades, integration,

testing, troubleshooting and other mission-related requirements.The candidate for this

position participates in the development of solutions to a variety of problems

moderate in scope and complexity and refers to policies, procedures and

practices for guidance.Information Technology

Logistics Asset Management and Recovery:

Performs system fault analysis, life cyclemaintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems.

Controls the efficient flow of goods, servicesand information from the point-of-origin, through customer placement, in orderto meet customer requirements.

May also plan, schedule and manage the efficientmovement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.

Develops raw material requirements andscheduling requirements from engineering specifications and productionschedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse,and production.

Ensures the execution and continuous improvementof standard logistic processes. Logistics functions encompass maintenance,supply, transportation and logistics plans. Inherently included as logisticstasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection,integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition andwholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management andsupervision.

Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

Provide logistical support to include shipping,transporting, recovering, scheduling, planning and implementation, assistingwith material procurement and inventory processing, multi-vendor shipping, andcoordination of all phases of the IT project.

Manage just-in-time (JIT) stock levels as theypertain to IT projects, ensures sufficient baseline materials are available forprojects.

Coordinate IT Logistical support of network andsystems projects.

Provide resource planning and materials controlas associated with all aspects of this task order.

Use IT bar code resource management systems toactively manage the transfer of IT resources between the NOSC and deployedforces.

Produce detailed professional reports, to briefstatus of projects to senior leaders, and to provide statistical analysis forstrategic planning and funding.

Track resource availability reports to the ITProject Manager.

Use the Air Force Integrated Technology AssetManagement Systems (ITAMS), or other successor systems to manage IT projectresources.

Serve as the NOSC IT Equipment Account/ControlManager.

Contractor shall develop detailed projectshipping plans to use the best method for shipping IT equipment and projectmaterials to all countries in the USAFCENT Area of responsibility (AOR).

Contractor shall coordinate with the ProjectManager and Project Team leads to schedule training of NOSC personnel on theshipping methods and procedures to increase project efficiency.

Contractor shall move and/or coordinate themovement of project equipment and materials to the transportation deliverypoints, both commercial and DoD as required to guarantee delivery. Contractoris responsible for the completion and filing of form DD 1149 and the input ofshipping information and data into standard (Remedy) trouble ticketing system (TTS).

Contractor shall be familiar withapplicable/associated processes and technology.

Contractor shall recommend areas that needimprovement and provide metrics to the effectiveness of the plan and resourcesutilized.

Contractor shall capture this data and make itavailable via the web to all end users and local agencies.

Contractor shall manage IT project warehouse andproject equipment and materials. This management will include [receiving],processing, labeling, correlating, and safeguarding all project equipment andmaterials.

Contractor shall function as the lead shippingcoordinator for the movement of project equipment and materials to thetransportation delivery points, both commercial and DoD.

Contractor shall maintain a database of project materialsusing automated inventory management database and scanning systems.

Equipment Custodian Task: Contractor shall bethe primary IT Equipment Custodian for all NOSC accounts and use local ITdatabases and the Integrated Technology Asset Management Systems (ITAMS)database to issue, receive, and recover IT project equipment.

Contractor shall coordinate with internal andexternal agencies for the successful execution of project timeline elements.Coordination includes, but is not limited to:

Providing project manager and project leaderswith inputs on inventory and shipping issues for inclusion in the Concept ofOperations (CONOPS).

Maintaining current country clearance andcustoms requirements for shipping project materials to insure adequate time isallocated for staging and buildup of equipment.

Coordination must be documented and maintainedby the contractor in appropriate project software for historical and auditpurposes.

Contractor must ensure shipping resources andfunds are available for the shipping of IT project equipment and materials.

All purchases will be reviewed and approved byGovernment representative prior to obligation and/or fulfillment.

Contractor shall document all storagewarehousing, shipping and reporting associated with the IT project in webformat (soft copy available to all interested and applicable parties) and inarchive format.

Contractor shall coordinate the development of afile plan and implement the plan in order to archive all project related datafor posterity and future reference. This file plan must conform to Air Forceregulations and must include official archival, reviews, inspections, andproper classification markings in accordance with local and Air force policy.

Contractor shall use bar-coding technologies toensure project materials are properly accounted for on a master inventorydatabase.

Contractor shall coordinate the completion oftransportation tracking documents, and maintain file copies of transportationcontrol documents in accordance with file plan disposition.

Contractor shall send shipping notices todestination POC and open/update a Remedy Trouble Ticket for tracking purposes.

Coordinate with internal and external agenciesfor the tracking and delivery of IT project materials.

Coordinate domesticand international shipping, to include host nation customs documents andclearance requirements.

QualificationsBachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one (1) year or more of related experience. In lieu of a degree, four (4) years of additional experience is required.
