project safety program for a specific work site. The Safety Manager works closely with Project Team and coordinates with
the Corporate Safety Director to ensure a safe work environment that is
consistent with the company’s Safety Culture.What Experience we are looking for:Civil construction
background with experience in the following;Working with coal combustion residuals (CCR’s)Dredging, slope work, saturated materialsHeavy equipment operation, equipment setbacks and best
practicesPrior project
experience in the following; Large-scale remedial activityLandfill construction, operation and closureDewatering of ashImpoundment closuresExcavationFall ProtectionDesired Certification and TrainingOSHA 30-Hour Training for the Construction IndustryOSHA 510 or OSHA 500HAZWOPER cert MSHA trainingQualified Heavy Equipment Operator TrainerEssential Duties and
ResponsibilitiesMaintains open and proactive
communications with the project team, field staff, and others in all areas
pertaining to safety. Serves in a safety leadership capacity by providing
timely guidance and direction where appropriate.Develops safety training plans and
facilitates safety training.Ability to plan, design, execute,
and facilitate ongoing proactive communication programs, including (but not
limited to) tool box talks and lunch-n-learns.Able to develop site specific
safety plans of work with project management teams.Proficient in routinely conducting
on-site field safety audits and review of individual safe work practices.
Skilled at hazard recognition, identifying potential problems, and practiced at
professional intervention. Able to disseminate information and recommend
improvements.Ensure all subcontractors are in
complete compliance with safety codes, regulations, and contracts.Drafts and recommends safety
policy and procedures as appropriate.Conducting incident and accident
investigationsNatural ability to calmly react to
and handle unplanned circumstances thoughtfully and to resolution while
communicating to others as may be appropriate for each situation.Maintains thorough knowledge of
OSHA safety regulations and requirements. Proactively stays abreast of changing

detailed concise thoughts in a professional mannerRequired QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree
(accredited), or equivalent previous and seven year’s managerial experience in
Construction Operations, Environmental Remediation and/or Safety.Experience: Seven years of
previous managerial experience in Operations and/or Safety (in addition to
education requirement).Ability to Travel 75% if neededStrong knowledge in Safety Rules
& Regulations including DOT and OSHAStrong communication and
leadership skillsPublic speaking experienceWorking ConditionsThe majority of work is completed on job sites in an office
trailer or in an existing structure. Due to daily condition changes on
construction projects, when employees are outside of the office trailer or
structure, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required
by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions.The project team and/or team member may need to move to
