Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionJob DescriptionP osition D escriptionJOB SUMMARY (Briefly describe the job’s primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization)The molding floater will be responsible for performing all molding, die trim, material handler, and casepack duties as needed by supervision. Responsible for meeting production standards and maintaining product quality.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1. Casepack:

Program electronic scale to establish accurate weigh count per Casepack (according to stopper size).

Inspect, close, label, and assign Casepack to the proper pallet.

Maintain accurate lot history and quality assurance documentation.

Maintains accurate production and lot history documentation through computer based systems.

Maintains a neat and orderly production environment.

Continually monitors in-process quality, addressing issues as needed to prevent product holds.

Performs and documents all required Q.C. checks.

Generates hold tickets as needed.

Observes all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR).

Performs rework as required.

Communicate with upstream manufacturing and technical associates to address and prevent quality issues.

2. Die Trim:

Load molded stopper pads onto Die Trim cavity belt.

Trim stoppers and remove full totes.

Maintain standard production, quality and waste.

3. Press:

Load raw material into press in a prescribed manner paying attention to weight and distribution of material for an even spread throughout the mold.

Monitor press operation to make certain lubrication, temperature, tonnage and cycle times meet operating specifications for each product. Report deficiencies to set-up.

Maintain a clean organized work area disposing of waste and trash to assigned areas.

Maintain accurate production and quality records.

Remove trim from pads.

Inspect stoppers and dink out defects.

Observe all safety standards, environmental procedures and QSR’s.

4. Material Handler

Supply machine operators with necessary materials to maintain production as directed by Supervisor.

Transport work in process materials from upstream to downstream processes and finished goods storage area using a forklift.

Complete transport of empty bins and recyclable materials to and from departmental locations as instructed. Empty trash into outside trash container. Maintain cleanliness of work area.

Operate hand truck or forklift as required to provide materials to production lines. Safe use of forklifts in a congested manufacturing area.

Complete ordering forms for requisitioning materials from warehouse locations and label room.

Store incoming materials in assigned departmental locations upon receipt.

Observe all safety standards, environmental procedures and QSR’s.
