Job Description

As a Stakeholder & Government Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for project management goals under the Sustainable Mining Plan integration.

As part of your role, you will:

  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans and manage key stakeholder relations
  • Assist principal stakeholder & government relations in creating and implementation of departmental strategy and frameworks of engagement
  • Identify environmental and social risks triggered by or impacting on discipline and propose mitigation techniques to be incorporated in the site risk management approach
  • Develop required compliance governance in the context of the discipline on a Business Unit level
  • Ensure reputational management in regional local government

This role is at our Johannesburg Corporate Office at aBand 6 level reporting to theSenior Manager Stakeholder & Government Relations.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Political Science, Business Management, Public Administration or related field of study

Experience:

  • 5 years stakeholder engagement experience with strong engagement skills
  • 5 years project management within Community projects
  • Knowledge of stakeholder management and engagement
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining diplomatic relationships with government key stakeholders and municipalities
  • Understanding of Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
