Job Description
Responsible for the day-to-day account management of our customers in a designated territory, promoting and supporting products and services. Responsible for regional strategic sales (in this case Middle East, Asia Pacific & Africa).
Will include the following (other duties may be assigned as business needs change): Assist with the preparation of quotations covering equipment, parts and services sales for assigned territory customers. Regular communication (verbal and written) with our internal and external customers. Lead strategic planning. Provide customer information to engineering, internal sales and management that will assist in making good business decision. Provide quick and accurate responses to inquiries and problems from our customers. Review customer orders for accuracy. Market and sell equipment, services, parts and rental equipment in assigned region. Seek out new business opportunities for Harsco Rail Market and sell value proposition Forecasting future sales and opportunities in assigned territory. Develop a Regional Strategic Plan for sales and service. Responsible for Regional budget development and forecasting.
Qualifications
A. Education / Experience· Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Engineering and 8+ years of sales experience· Minimum of 3 years sales leadership and planning experience in heavy equipment or contraction equipment industry
III. Preferred Qualifications
A. Education or Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Engineering 5+ years experience in railroad or Construction Equipment / Service sales
B. Interpersonal Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data Ability to write in a clear and concise manner Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions Ability to effectively coach others.
C. Technical Skills Computer skills Mathematical skills
D. Other Skills Ability to effectively plan and organize Ability to travel 70% of the time Internationally
IV. Essential The ability to predictably and regularly attend work and to be punctual The ability to read and understand documents and drawings The ability to work cooperatively with others The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers The ability to perform several tasks at once The ability to follow direction or instruction The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information The ability to lift 40 lbs. The ability to stand/bend/stretch, etc.
