The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our BlueScope Distribution business as a Supply Chain Operations Trainee. BlueScope Distribution is a provider of single-source product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.

This is a 12-month traineeship, with the view to provide you with a long-term career with us.

In this exciting opportunity, you will gain a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations while we support and develop you with first-class on-the-job training in a hybrid role that combines safety and supply chain operations.

In this diverserole, you will be contributing to the team’s success in ensuring our products and solutions are delivered to our customers

A self-motivated, quick thinker, you quickly adapt and can juggle more than one task at any given time. You also enjoy keeping busy and working in a supportive team environment.

What Will You Do?

In this exciting opportunity, working in a collaborative team environment, you will receive ongoing training and support to learn to:

  • pick, pack and load customer orders
  • provide support with the safe loading and unloading of vehicles
  • store products safely through manual handling and/or operating forklifts
  • participate in stocktake activities·
  • assist in the daily safety operations such as maintaining equipment in safe working conditions.
