As Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of the plant, working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. You will constantly review the operation of the plant to monitor production and quality, anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifying opportunities for improvement. You will also participate in projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs, and maintain adequate records of key production variables such as production volume, yield, plant uptime, utility consumption, etc., on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis, as required. Additionally, you will communicate directly with the QNQC laboratory to ensure effective participation in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.
As Grain Operator, you will safely and efficiently load and unload raw materials (corn and DDG) in and out, as well as load truck and rail ethanol. You will also be responsible for grain bin cleaning, inventory maintenance, and general grounds upkeep. This position is a Monday through Friday day position; however, there may be the need to fill 12-hour shifts from time-to-time. Significant time will be spent in the plant and grains area.
About You
High School diploma or GED; Technical school desired
1+ years’ experience operating dry-mill ethanol plant preferred
Experience operating grain receiving facility preferred
Good work ethic
Able to perform physical labor
Ability to drive and unload machinery
Mechanical inclination desired; must be able to operate equipment
Able to communicate in clear, concise, courteous, nondiscriminatory and professional manner; must speak and listen clearly
Capable of adapting to business changes with no diminishment in work performance
Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations of 175 feet and lift 50 lbs.

The plant produces ethanol, which is ethyl alcohol, 200-proof grain alcohol used as a motor fuel. The main ingredient to make ethanol is corn. The biproduct of producing ethanol creates ground corn for cattle feed, corn oil, and corn syrup.
