Job Description:
HireQuest Direct in Sioux Falls is looking for Certified Flaggers located in Pierre, SD area! This is a temporary position with both full-time and part-time hours available. Pay and shifts are TBD.
Responsibilities:
· Control and direct the movement of vehicular traffic through roadway construction sites using sign, hand, and flag signals
· Stand in position at the site and watch for road traffic to protect equipment and employees
· Perform other work-related duties as assigned (set signs and devices)
Requirements:
· Certified flagging certificate
· Full understanding of the duties performed by a flagger
· Must have vehicle to get to and from the job site
· Must have working phone that accepts phone calls
· A person needs to be aware of his/her surroundings
· Flagger needs to be able to communicate with other workers and motorist on the roadway
