Provide technical guidance and services and enforce design and construction standards with owners while also building their trust and respect
Review construction documents for hotels (new development, adaptive reuse, conversions, room additions and brand changes) to ensure the proposed project follows Hilton requirements
Conduct a minimum of three (3) on-site construction inspections for each hotel. Immediately address issues on-site, followed by written correspondence explaining the non-complying issues
How you will collaborate with others:
Build relationships and conduct Predesign Kickoff meetings for hotel owner/franchisee and their project team. Lead meetings, conference calls, and webinars to explain Hilton requirements
Propose revisions of AD&C documents to standards and prototype documents teams
Collaborate with other Hilton functions, including Design Services, Engineering Support, Food & Beverage, Spa and Fitness, Development, Brand Opening Teams, Brand Performance Support, and Quality Assurance
What projects you will take ownership of:
Review architectural and engineering plans - schematic plans (25%), design development (50%), and final documents (100%) - specifications, construction submittals, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with Hilton requirements
Update and input project data in Hilton’s tracking system. Provide accurately forecasted construction start and hotel opening dates for senior management and Hilton teams critical to hotel opening (brand support, information technology, and quality assurance)
Resolve issues with the hotel owner/franchisee regarding deficiencies or non-compliance with brand standards or with PIP scope. This includes issues discovered during review of submittals and during the progress of construction
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FITYou have these minimum qualifications:
Five (5) years experience working on projects in development (design, construction or renovations)
Five (5) years of experience reading and interpreting construction documents (architectural and engineering plans)
Travel up to 30-40%
It would be useful if you have:
BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design, or Construction related field
Licenses or Certificates such as Architect, Engineer, Interior Designer (NCIDQ), Project Manager (PMP)
Experience in negotiations and building relationships
Experience with design, construction or renovation in hospitality (hotel) development
Experience with Bluebeam
