Guest Service Agent
We are currently seeking a Guest Service Agent to join our team. Previous hotel front desk experience is required. You would be responsible for providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner with exceptional communication skills.
Must be an excellent communicator, responsible, capable of multi-tasking, work well under pressure, work hard, pay close attention to detail and be someone who cares for guests' needs.
Communication and positive interactions with other team members (guest service agents, housekeeping, and maintenance staff) is essential, and must be done in a professional manner. You would assist other departments as necessary. Personality is important, as you need to be genuine and enjoy working with the public. You must be professional when answering the telephone, taking reservations, and assisting guests in person with any questions, directions, problems, etc. Managing and resolving guest complaints and compliments in a professional and courteous manner is vital, and you should respond clearly and calmly.
Other tasks include checking guests in and out of the hotel, ensuring that special requests are noted and fulfilled, and maximizing room rates. Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all property amenities and services as well as local area information. Assisting with guests' luggage must be able to lift 50 lbs.
We are looking for a positive, up-beat individual with a passion for hospitality, who can deliver total guest satisfaction. Minimum qualifications for this position include: Minimum age 21, high school degree or equivalent, strong computer skills, and pleasant telephone demeanor. Strong knowledge of the Rapid City and Black Hills area. The ability to handle stressful situations with a calm, professional tone. As mentioned, must have the ability to communicate well with guests in a patient manner. Must be able to work a varied schedule that includes weekends, evenings and holidays. Must be able to work well on their own. Hours and days per week will vary.
Maintenance
Knowledge/Experience:
Experience with work under close supervision
Ability to keep neat and accurate records of time and materials
Ability to communicate in written form
Ability to understand and follow directions
Knowledge of mechanical, math, and measurement skills
Knowledge of the current occupational hazards, and an understanding of safety precautions, building codes and regulations applicable to the maintenance profession
Knowledge, understanding and demonstration of preventative maintenance
Knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment necessary to perform building maintenance tasks
Knowledge of the current methods, practices, tools, equipment, and materials used in building maintenance and repair work, to qualification and training level
Working knowledge of appliances, plumbing, electric, carpentry, drywall, painting, blinds and traverse rods, hardware, screens, doors, key cutting, cabinets and counter tops, roofing, ceramic tile, masonry, fire extinguishers, glass cutting, floors, fan coil or gas heat, landscaping, pool care, and building maintenance skills
Ability to lift 80 lbs. to the shoulder and carry it
Ability to perform all tasks associated with the duties specified
Valid Driver's License & Background Check Required
