About the Job:
Mobile Technologies, Inc. (MTI) is seeking candidates to become a Tier 2 Field Technician. In this position, you will install, maintain, and / or repair interactive displays, within retail, commercial and municipal environments. We are looking for responsible, self-motivated, service-oriented people with good technical aptitude, who are willing to perform variable field-based assignments at client locations. All training will be provided and paid by MTI. We offer a highly competitive hourly wage and mileage reimbursement.
Job Responsibilities:
Log into ticketing system daily for scheduled work
Perform visits on scheduled date and time
Diagnose and repair electronic and mechanical issues
Ensure compliance as required by client agreement and / or scope of work
Communicate escalations to manager
Keep workspace neat and clean during service
Complete a detailed onsite survey upon completion of work
Provide upcoming availability weekly to your manager
Desired Skills:
Read and understand planograms
Working knowledge of hand tools
Basic computing / Smartphone skills
Training capabilities
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Required Qualifications:
Organized self-starter
One (1) or more years of experience in customer service
Two (2) or more years of experience in one of the related fields:
- Information Technology (IT) Installation and Configuration
- Point of Sale (POS) systems Installation and Configuration
- Digital Signage Installation and Configuration
- Audio / Video Installation and Configuration
- Consumer Electronics
- 12-volt electrical systems Installation and Configuration
Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment
Superior communication and customer service skills both written and verbal
Maintain a professional image at client sites
Must have reliable transportation
Able to understand, read and write English language

Tablet, or Smartphone with a minimum 8MP camera and data service
Metal hammer
Rubber mallet
Laptop
Cordless drill with bit adapter, spare drill battery (charged)
Philips screw drivers - #0, #1 and #2
Flat head screw drivers 1/8 and ¼
Socket wrench and Ratchet sets SAE and Metric
Allen wrench set SAE and Metric
Precision screw driver set Philips and flat head
Pliers (standard and needle nose)
Wire cutters
Knife or box cutter
Tape measure
Clipboard
Other tools as needed
