We are an independent company contracted with FedEx Ground in Rapid City, SD. We are filling full time permanent driving positions and will consider part time driving positions as well if you are only available on a limited basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous commercial driving experience in any type of vehicle is required to be considered for our bigger vehicles, but we have positions open where you can start driving in a cargo van after some online course training and on the road training with an instructor/observer. . All driving history will be verified with previous and current employers. You do not need a CDL and are not required to obtain one for this position. Your previous commercial driving experience can be in any size vehicle. To have first consideration you must have 1 year worth of verifiable commercial driving within the last 3 years OR 5 years worth of commercial driving within the past 10 years to qualify for full time, If you do not have the needed commercial driving experience feel free to apply as we can hire anyone to drive smaller vehicles in order to gain the necessary experience to move up.
You must have a good driving record, your Motor Vehicle Record will be checked,
You must pass a criminal background check.
You must pass a pre employment drug screen when the application process begins.
You must be able to pass DOT medical exam(physical) and obtain or provide a current DOT Medical card/certificate.
You must be age 21 or older.
ABOUT THE JOB:

We do package delivery and pickup in Rapid City and surrounding areas of western South Dakota in various type vehicles including step vans and cargo vans and box vans. This is a very physical and fast paced work environment which requires a commitment to attention to detail.
This is a high energy position, you must be motivated and able to work unsupervised for most of your day. Safe driving and safe work methods must be used and heavy lifting will be required at times. You must have the ability to drive in all weather conditions. Map reading skills are a plus in order to make efficient time of your work day. GPS/Electronic help and maps will be provided.
Expect 40-45 hours a week, 5 days a week is normal, sometimes 6 as necessary. Our operation is 6 days a week Monday thru Saturday. Some positions Mon-Fri, some are Tue-Sat, and some are various days of the week Mon to Sat. However, work schedules are subject to change on short notice due to weather and or volume fluctuations and your ability to change your schedule to meet those fluctuations are a must. For example most (or all) weeks between Thanksgiving and New Years may require 6 day work weeks.
An independent third party will verify your current and previous employment, your motor vehicle record for convictions, citations and at fault accidents, previous commercial driving experience, and criminal background history and administer a pre-employment drug screen.
