JOB SUMMARY:

Brice Builders, LLC, a subsidiary of Bilista Holding, LLC, performs civil construction and project management services across the United States and the Pacific Rim.

The Vice President, General Manager oversees operations and manages awarded projects in accordance with industry standards, regulatory agencies, and internal goals and policies. The priorities of this position include the development of strategic plans and organizational structure to accommodate the growth of the company. In addition, the Vice President, General Manager develops systems and controls to ensure compliance with government contracts and the Company's SBA 8(a) status.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Brice Builders, LLC.

Play a key role in developing Company's strategic plan in terms of growth, revenue, profit, labor force, personnel training, work quality, and customer loyalty.

Develop new business in lower 48 states and Pacific Rim.

Manage the Company's business development process:

Prepare, maintain, and execute the Company's business strategy plans.

Build and foster relationships.

Develop a pipeline of opportunities and achieve new business targets.

Responsible for assurance, including providing oversight of compliance with industry standards, best practices, and Company vision.

Identify, develop and implement procedures to accommodate the growth and changing needs of the Company.

Coordinate all aspects of operations, including financials: Develop, approve and monitor Company budgets.

Code and approve invoices and timesheets accordingly.

Collect necessary information for decision making on Company asset purchases and dispositions.

Collaborate with various groups within Calista Corporation, Bilista Holding, and multiple client organizations.

Oversee the selection hiring and management of staff; including: Prepare work schedules and assign specific duties.

Conduct documented performance review evaluations and performance improvement plans.

Tactfully communicate sensitive information.

Under direction of the Company President, assist and fill in as needed.

Manage awarded projects; specifically: Develop proposals, cost estimates, and bids.

Manage the submittal and approval process; prepare change requests. Monitor/review plans, reports, permits, requests for information, and design change/variance requests.

Procure and schedule necessary materials and resources such as equipment, team members, and subcontractors. Determine labor requirements.

Select, hire, and oversee the work done by subcontractors.

Determine the best source of construction materials.

Oversee the delivery of materials, tools, and equipment.

Ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively.

Obtain necessary licenses or permits.

Supervise the planning of design and/or construction work; ensure accuracy of project team analysis of project drawings, specifications, project schedule, environmental requirements, and quality expectations.

Analyze project profitability, revenue, and margins.

Prepare project budget and track time and expenses to budget.

Serve as point of contact for clients.

Code and determine payment of all project-related invoices and timesheets.

Prepare periodic progress reports outlining materials used, costs, and work schedule adjustments.

Oversee documentation and retention of information related to project start-up, commissioning, contracts, completion reports, as-built documentation, and project close out.

Oversee progress at work sites.

Monitor compliance with applicable municipal, state, and federal regulations.

Ensure job required reporting is received and thorough to include safety reports, daily updates, photographs, timecards, etc.

Ensure project milestones are completed on schedule.

Ensure that projects are executed safely according to contract specifications; specifically: Actively support Brice Builders LLC's Health and Safety Program.

Stay apprised of on-site compliance and safety audits; suspend or modify work practices as necessary.

Settle health and safety differences of opinion if the Brice Builders LLC's Site Foreman/SSHO are unable to find resolution.

Verify Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment needed for the project is provided and properly used.

Serve as a point of contact for employees to express health and safety concerns.

Serve as an organizational resource for project questions, best practices, and industry standards.

Work as a "team-player" with co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner.

Seek and participate in development and training opportunities.

Participate in periodic management and executive meetings.

Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:

This position is responsible for the supervision of all Company personnel, either directly or indirectly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction, or related field required.

Ten years' progressively increased responsibilities and diverse experience in construction work with experience leading Federal contracts.

Familiarity with HCCS "HeavyBid" software preferred.

Project Management certification preferred.

Knowledge of remote Alaska logistics and construction practices strongly preferred.

Valid state driver's license and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company's Driving Policy

Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screening.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Brice Builders, LLC has a fast-paced multi-tasking office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. At times, work is performed outside of the office at indoor and outdoor job sites. Adaptability regarding schedule and design changes, and occasional overtime for immediate field support or bid processing may be necessary.
