If the kitchen is your domain and you love serving others, then the Good Samaritan Society offers the opportunity to use your experience in a challenging but exciting position as a Food and Nutrition Assistant.Evenings, part-time, 4:30-8:30pm, includes every other weekend/holidayDays, part-time, 5 :45am-2pm every other weekend/holiday & 6am-2pm once a week
This position provides assistant to residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner.
Assists with simple meal preparation and service.
Assists residents with keeping home area and the general use areas clean and orderly.
Reports any observed behavior changes to appropriate staff.
Provides social interaction, conversation and activities that stimulate the mind. Meets clients’ requests or assures that another staff meets those requests in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently and problem solve with no direct patient care required

You'll serve snacks and supplements and connect with residents each day as you document nutritional intake. You'll also help with dining and kitchen cleanup, safety monitoring, and sanitary practices to avoid contamination.
