This 43-bed unit delivers quality, patient-focused care for a variety of medical and surgical specialties, such as endocrinology, metabolic, gastroenterology and medical telemetry. Staff receive specialized training in urology, oncology, hematology, phase 1 clinical trials and palliative care. Nurses have the opportunity to receive additional training and support in administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Specialty certification is encouraged. Patients range from adolescents to older adults. The interdisciplinary team includes specialty physicians, pharmacists, dieticians, physical therapists, case managers, social workers, pain management specialists and nurses.
