This 19-bed telemetry unit provides services to complex patients with general medical needs and diagnoses that can include acute and chronic renal failure, hypertension, diabetes, head and neck cancer, thyroid cancer, heart failure, chronic wounds, and paraplegia or quadriplegia. Our team also cares for kidney transplant recipients and living donors, with an outpatient infusion room for new kidney transplant patients to come receive infusions after they have been discharged. The nursing staff collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of specialists and physicians, a pharmacist, a physical therapist, respiratory therapists, case managers and social workers to deliver individualized care to our patients. The surgical renal unit is a small, family-oriented unit where you can gain exceptional nursing skills and become part of a work family.
