Job Description

SUMMARY

The Technical Assistant is responsible for Accounts Receivable, Collections and client communication from LQSi regarding Proficiency Program. Provide support to the Technical Governance Manager with standard development (ASTM, ISO, ANSI, etc) and LQSi reports for customers.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Participate in and/or assists management with project planning for 40+ Proficiency Testing Programs, which includes collecting materials, processing materials and ensuring materials are tested for homogeneity.

Produce and distribute monthly and quarterly reports.

Aid in reviewing, annually, all LQSi work and quality management SOPs and then update accordingly following the standard records retention process.

Develop and document SOPs covering all LQSi work and quality management activities

Responsible for all invoicing, collections, and procurement for Certified Reference Materials and Proficiency Testing.

Maintain LQSi inbox and ensures a timely response to inquiries

Enter testing results data in to LQSi website that is received from clients

Determine order / sequence of work activities so that essential activities are completed at the required / scheduled time

Review data for errors and make appropriate assessment of corrections

Provide feedback about issues preventing efficient operation of all

LQSi work and quality management activities

Coordinate the planning, sale and distribution of Certified Reference Materials and Proficiency Testing Materials

Train new employees on LQSi standards / equipment as needed, as well as retrain existing staff on new procedures / equipment

Participate in industry conferences as an SGS representative and chair assigned committees as needed

Coordinate with team to maintain an appropriate level of supplies / services

Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

· High School/GED degree

· Associates Degree and 2 years working in a professional office environment

Preferred:

· Bachelor’s degree and 4 years working in a professional office environment

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Language Skills: English Advanced preferred

Mathematical Skills: Advanced preferred

Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Advanced level preferred

Computer Skills: Provide details, designate a level of expertise required/preferred.

Organization and Observation skills: Advanced preferred

TRAVEL

Travels up to 5% of time locally.

Travel to standard body meetings (ASTM, ISO, etc)

EQUIPMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Microsoft Office used regularly, especially Excel work in various reports.
